Uttar Pradesh is coined as one the "Northern Province". Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, speak only Hindi as it's the official languages of the state. Urdu is another language, people often speak in the regions of Uttar Pradesh. Hinduism is said to have originated from Uttar Pradesh. Some of the dynasties that ruled the region or state were the Magadha Empire, Mughal Empire, Mauryan Empire and the Gupta Empire.
